Important Update
Regarding the future of MK Storehouse
MK Storehouse is announcing plans to temporarily close at the end of 2025, ahead of a refresh and relaunch in spring 2026.
Having been conceived and operated by Grand Union Vineyard (GUV) for the past 10 years, MK Storehouse has served individuals and families across Milton Keynes with free clothing and practical support. Over this time, the project has made a lasting impact, providing clothing and dignity to thousands of guests.
As part of a planned transition towards this next season, operations will pause at the end of December 2025. During this period, the new management team will assume responsibility for managing MK Storehouse, working closely with GUV and local partners to ensure a smooth handover as preparations continue for a relaunch in spring 2026.
This pause will provide time to reshape and strengthen MK Storehouse for long-term sustainability, with the aim of forming a new independent charity later in 2026.
Nick Freer, Chair of Trustees for Grand Union Vineyard, says:
“We are indebted to the pioneers at GUV who saw the need and had the vision to start MK Storehouse. We’re also grateful to everyone who has served so faithfully over the last 10 years and achieved so much. Our vision moving forward is for this valuable work to become an independent charity supported by a broad community. This pause gives us every hope that this can be achieved. We’re thankful to the new management team for helping to steer this next phase.”
A spokesperson for the new management team adds:
“We’re deeply grateful for all that MK Storehouse has achieved under Grand Union Vineyard’s leadership. This pause gives us the chance to build on that legacy, refreshing our approach, securing new partnerships, while preparing for continued impact in 2026 and beyond.”
During the transition period, the new management team will:
Work with local churches and supporters to form a new management structure.
Apply for grant funding to support the relaunch.
Prepare for a relaunch by spring 2026.
Supporters, volunteers and partner organisations will be kept informed as plans progress, with updates shared on MK Storehouse’s social media channels.
Grand Union Vineyard and the new management team wish to thank everyone who has supported MK Storehouse so faithfully through volunteering, donations, and prayer, and we look forward to welcoming guests back when the doors reopen in 2026.
WE WILL CLOSE OUR CURRENT OPPERATIONS ON 18TH DECEMBER 2025
